Technology has rapidly changed in the past few years and doesn’t seem to be stopping. How will technology influence the digital advertising and marketing industry this year? Everyone has their predictions about what 2018 will bring, so we’ve rounded up a few observations from industry leaders.

Josh Line, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Creative, Comedy Central, told CMO.com by Adobe that, “The forces of digital disruption are empowering consumers to get what they want, when they want it. And increasingly that means that they don’t want to be interrupted by an ad that isn’t good or relevant. That pressure is a good thing because it forces us to do better.”

Missouri Press Service knows the importance of relevance. We work with our clients to make sure their ads are placed in print publications that will reach their desired audience. Thankfully, Missouri Press has 236 member newspapers for clients to choose from! No matter what location the client is looking for, we can reach it.

An article by Adweek suggests that 2018 will be about mixing digital and physical marketing. Mark Curtis writes, “It’s important that we stop considering digital and physical as separate entities, and ask instead how we can design experiences that connect with the people around us, enabled by digital in a physical world.”

At Missouri Press Service, we understand what Curtis is saying. We partner with many of our clients to make sure they are reaching customers through print media as well as digital. This ensures that customers aren’t missing out due to their medium of choice, while also being able to connect with the client through multiple channels.

The Forbes Agency Council put together a report of top trends and changes in digital marketing for 2018. David Kley, Web Design and Company, said, “I think ads will become more singularly purposed in nature, with a very specific goal and goal conversion place in mind, whether it be a mobile or desktop experience.”

Missouri Press Service looks forward to partnering with clients this year to make sure their ads are successful. Conveying a clear message is important to a successful campaign, and the content of an ad is the first step to making it thrive. Our team can work with clients on their current ads or even start from scratch.

Of course, we can never truly know what the future holds, but we are confident this next year will be a great one. At Missouri Press Service, we look forward to helping our clients with all their advertising needs. Reach out to us to see what we can do for you this year!
